Formed late one night when everybody was ever so slightly "tired and emotional" ,the Hill-billys are a group of like-minded players , sick to death of league cricket in Lancashire ,who wish to hark back to the gentler times of old. A time when people played the game for fun , and the leagues were not full of preening yobs who's very idea of playing in the right spirit is to abuse and harangue players.
We wish to play the game in the right spirit ,for fun, and to enjoy cricket and not to play with the 'win at all costs mentality' of the chumps who have taken over our game .
This plus the fact that were are ,on the whole , to old or fat and past it to boot. |
